Eurotique Corsets to Debut New Collection of Bustiers

LAS VEGAS Eurotique Corsets has made the decision started to offer bustiers and will debut its collection at the International Lingerie Show.

Eurotique said it was not only looking to reach a broader demographic with its reasonably priced collection, but it also wanted to address the difference between a corset and a bustier. The company said there is a lot of confusion in the marketplace due to marketing campaigns misinforming retailers and consumers.

"Big brand names are often repeat offenders when it comes to promoting and selling products that are bustiers but are marketed as corsets," the company said.

"The big question is can consumers tell the difference? In a picture it is very difficult to see the difference, but when consumers feel them and see them next to one another there is a noticeable difference."

According to the company, the difference between a corset and a bustier comes down to the construction of the garment. Corsets are made with several layers of fabric to reinforce the garment and they have steel boning to help provide structure. Corsets will provide function and form by lifting the bust line and shaping the torso creating an hourglass figure, when properly fitted steel boned corsets can reduce a waistline up to 4 inches.

Bustiers are made with plastic boning and no lining, they are designed to be worn as decorative tops, they do not lift your bust nor do they cinch or contour the body. This spring when Eurotique launches their Romance collection consumers will have the opportunity to feel and compare the garments side by side and then make an educated decision as to which one is better for them.

The new Romance collection might be less expensive than a traditional Eurotique corset, but the level of quality and craftsmanship is still apparent. Romance by Eurotique will be available in 14 styles in five different colors and it will be priced at $69 or less.

Eurotique is well recognized in the corset community and has been nominated by XBIZ as one of the top 10 lingerie and apparel manufactures for 2012 and 2013. Eurotique offers fullbust, underbust waist cinchers, fashion corsets and women’s leather separates.
